The Four-Way Test

  • Is it the truth?
  • Is it fair to all concerned?
  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  • Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

GET INVOLVED

The Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club has launched a new initiative to introduce the Four-Way Test of the things we think, say, and do into local schools. This timeless code of ethics helps young people reflect on honesty, fairness, goodwill, and the benefit to all concerned. By bringing the Four-Way Test into 4th and 5th grade classrooms, Rotary is encouraging students to see how these simple questions can guide everyday choices. With classroom presentations and practical resources, the project equips students to apply the Four-Way Test in real life—helping them grow into stronger, kinder, and more responsible citizens.
