We Don’t Just Host Events

We Build Community

Our signature events, like the Boro BBQ Festival and the Blake Tidwell Memorial Golf Tournament, raise over $130,000 annually to fund more than $100,000 in grants for local nonprofits. But the real reason we do them is deeper: we believe in showing up for our city. The BBQ Festival is a free gift to Murfreesboro, a celebration of the people and spirit that make this place special. Beyond fundraising, we actively support other nonprofits, volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and collaborate with fellow Rotary Clubs, all in the spirit of Service Above Self. Even our Four-Way Test and Dictionary projects are events with purpose—instilling Rotary values in the next generation. We do it all because we believe in making a difference. We’re Rotarians. It’s what we do.

Boro BBQ Festival

May 1-2, 2026

This is our big one — the Boro BBQ Festival, Murfreesboro’s tastiest tradition and the Breakfast Rotary Club’s signature event. It’s part fundraiser, part community celebration. Admission? Free. The food? Legendary. The impact? Even bigger.

With help from amazing sponsors and partners, this event fuels Rotary’s mission of service — raising funds for local nonprofits and awarding over $100,000 in community grants in 2025.
