DESCRIPTION:Raising Blindness Awareness Since 2000\nA Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Event for the Kids of The Tennessee School for the Blind\nJoin us in our return to Old Fort Golf Course! This event has experienced decades of your generosity and we are excited to participate in it with you again this year! \n\nHole-in-One Contest\nLongest Drive competition holes for both men and women\nClosest to the Pin competition holes for both men and women\nStraightest Drive competition hole for all golfers\nPutting Contest and Tennessee School for the Blind putting activity\nBeverage & Snack Cart compliments of Pinnacle Financial Partners\nCamino Real is providing Lunch\n\nOld Fort Golf Club\nOld Fort Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf facility owned and operated by the City of Murfreesboro. The par 72 layout is located along the banks of the Stones River and adjacent to Fortress Rosecrans\, an historic earthen Fort from the Civil War.  Old Fort plays a challenging 7\,086 yards from the back tees\, but with 6 sets of tees the golf course is fun and enjoyable for all. Regarded as one of the top public golf courses in the state\, Old Fort has the privilege of hosting a number of championship events recently serving as a Qualifying site for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Open. \nFriends of Tennessee School for the Blind\nFor twenty-five years Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary has sponsored a golf scramble at Old Fort Golf Course to to benefit students served by the Tennessee School for the Blind. TSB is a state special school located in Donelson\, a Nashville suburb\, that services students from across Tennessee through their on-campus and outreach services. Funds are used to provide field trips and enrichment activities\, promote independent living skills\, purchase adaptive technology equipment\, and assist students in need.
