By offering evidence-based\, community-supported services\, we foster healthy relationships among families to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Our mission aligns closely with the values of Rotary International by strengthening families\, supporting children\, and building healthier communities through service\, collaboration\, and meaningful connection. About Our Speaker: Driven by her own lived experiences\, decades of research\, various roles in child welfare\, and relevant cross-sector system administration of mental health and substance use treatment and recovery services\, Amy brings passionate leadership aimed at advancing quality community-based resources for TN families. She holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice Administration from MTSU and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Western KY University. As Rutherford County native\, Amy is active in her community through civic and professional endeavors\, including serving on the Community Engagement committee for the Rutherford Thrives Continuum of Care\, which advocates for the unhoused population\, and as a Rutherford Cable member. As a passionate volunteer and supporter of other child-focused nonprofits in Murfreesboro\, she was instrumental in the early success of Kymari House and was previously an advisory board member and Secretary for the Rutherford County Isaiah 117 House. She has been deeply committed to the mission of Thriving Together TN since inception of the organization in 2023 as the founding Chair of the Board of Directors and was hired as the Executive Director in February 2026.

DESCRIPTION:Hear from Stephanie Ezell-Myatt of Blood Assurance \nStephanie Ezell-Myatt is a Middle Tennessee native who calls Chapel Hill home\, surrounded by a close-knit family that includes three children\, three grandchildren\, three siblings\, and a large circle of nieces\, nephews\, aunts\, and uncles—all within an hour’s drive. \nWith nearly 24 years of experience in blood banking\, Stephanie spent 18 years serving Middle Tennessee before accepting early retirement and began her second career when she relocated in 2020. While she loved being near the beach\, she missed being with family and friends in Tennessee. \nIn November 2024\, she accepted a position that would allow her to come home –leaving Charleston to join Blood Assurance where she now serves as Regional Operations Director for the West Division\, serving all Middle Tennessee and parts of Southern Kentucky. \nDeeply passionate about the mission after seeing loved ones benefit from blood products\, Stephanie often paraphrases The Blood Assurance mission statement to simply say: our mission is about providing the right unit of blood for the right person at the right time. She loves educating the community about the need for blood donations and partnering sponsors – which is what brings her to us today!

DESCRIPTION:When children are removed from their homes out of concern for their safety\, they are usually brought to a child welfare services office to await placement. This wait can be a few hours to several days. These children often have nothing with them and are scared\, lonely\, hungry\, and in dirty clothing. \nIsaiah 117 provides a comforting home where these children instead can be brought to wait – a place that is safe with friendly and loving volunteers who provide clean clothes\, smiles\, toys\, and snuggly blankets. This space allows children to receive the comfort and care they need while child welfare staff can do the necessary paperwork and identify a good placement.
