DESCRIPTION:District 6760’s Second Annual Day of Service is scheduled for April 11th.  Please see info below about Murfreesboro Park Day and make plans to join us as we participate in this d \nay of service. \nOn Saturday\, April 11\, 2026\, Stones River National Battlefield and our partners want to celebrate National Park Week by bringing the residents of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County together for a morning dedicated to properly managing the lands and waterways that are a critical part of life in our community. \nWe will join thousands of volunteers across the nation in celebrating the 30th year of the American Battlefield Trust’s (ABT) Park Day by working to preserve and improve our public lands. \nWe will be working at Fortress Rosecrans\, Old Fort Park and the Lytle Creek Greenway. Our focus will be on removing invasive plants and trash from these areas. Check-in will take place at the Old Fort Park picnic pavilion near the tennis courts beginning at 8:30 AM. Volunteers will park in the lot near the baseball field.\n\nVolunteers under 14 years old may not participate in invasive plant removal. Volunteers should bring work gloves and wear long-sleeved shirts\, work pants\, and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers should also bring a water bottle. \nRegistration is required by April 9th.  I will register our club so I need you to use the SignUp Genius Link below to let me know if you and/or your family or friends are interested in attending by April 8th. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO STAY THE ENTIRE MORNING.

DESCRIPTION:Hear from Stephanie Ezell-Myatt of Blood Assurance \nStephanie Ezell-Myatt is a Middle Tennessee native who calls Chapel Hill home\, surrounded by a close-knit family that includes three children\, three grandchildren\, three siblings\, and a large circle of nieces\, nephews\, aunts\, and uncles—all within an hour’s drive. \nWith nearly 24 years of experience in blood banking\, Stephanie spent 18 years serving Middle Tennessee before accepting early retirement and began her second career when she relocated in 2020. While she loved being near the beach\, she missed being with family and friends in Tennessee. \nIn November 2024\, she accepted a position that would allow her to come home –leaving Charleston to join Blood Assurance where she now serves as Regional Operations Director for the West Division\, serving all Middle Tennessee and parts of Southern Kentucky. \nDeeply passionate about the mission after seeing loved ones benefit from blood products\, Stephanie often paraphrases The Blood Assurance mission statement to simply say: our mission is about providing the right unit of blood for the right person at the right time. She loves educating the community about the need for blood donations and partnering sponsors – which is what brings her to us today!

This event has experienced decades of your generosity and we are excited to participate in it with you again this year! \n\nHole-in-One Contest\nLongest Drive competition holes for both men and women\nClosest to the Pin competition holes for both men and women\nStraightest Drive competition hole for all golfers\nPutting Contest and Tennessee School for the Blind putting activity\nBeverage & Snack Cart compliments of Pinnacle Financial Partners\nCamino Real is providing Lunch\n\nOld Fort Golf Club\nOld Fort Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf facility owned and operated by the City of Murfreesboro. The par 72 layout is located along the banks of the Stones River and adjacent to Fortress Rosecrans\, an historic earthen Fort from the Civil War.  Old Fort plays a challenging 7\,086 yards from the back tees\, but with 6 sets of tees the golf course is fun and enjoyable for all. Regarded as one of the top public golf courses in the state\, Old Fort has the privilege of hosting a number of championship events recently serving as a Qualifying site for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Open. \nFriends of Tennessee School for the Blind\nFor twenty-five years Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary has sponsored a golf scramble at Old Fort Golf Course to to benefit students served by the Tennessee School for the Blind. TSB is a state special school located in Donelson\, a Nashville suburb\, that services students from across Tennessee through their on-campus and outreach services. Funds are used to provide field trips and enrichment activities\, promote independent living skills\, purchase adaptive technology equipment\, and assist students in need.
